My Work
Children’s Books
After trudging through yet another boring, long-winded bedtime story I told my four-year-old, “I could do better than that.” Then, we drove to grandma’s house in Greencastle and the rest is history.
Roman a clef
The events experienced required a thorough examination. The story had to be written; therefore, it was. “Am I Still Me?” and “As Herschel Moves Through Aries” relate the saga of a family’s changes when the husband/father comes a little unstuck from his reality.
Comics/Graphic Novels
Driven to tell a story without using so many words, I wanted to write a dialogue-driven narrative. Then, I took it a step further. If pictures are still worth a thousand words, my word-count is soaring!
About Me

I like words and stories. I like colors and drawings and paintings. I like buildings and statues. I have an enthusiasm for beauty.
I consider myself an artist, and I strive to perform tasks in a creative and original way. I must remain true to my Aquarius sun, after all.
My earliest works were crude crayon drawings of football helmets. For a few years in the opening decade of the 21st century I painted views of modern buildings, capturing the juxtaposition of reflected, wavy abstraction against the precise lines of the architecture. More recently, I carved a giant pencil in my front yard.
I undertake creative projects around the house, in an effort to feel like I am living in art.
